The Story Behind Our Garments

If you’ve been following Reflective for a while, you’ve probably discovered that all our products are either Reflective or Holographic and have this (we call it) “Reflective Effect”.

But what does that mean, exactly?

In short, it means that our clothes "glow" when viewed from an angle close to a light source. The light gets reflected back from our Reflective garments, to produce a bright, silver light and from our Holographic garments it produces a bright, rainbowish light.

Here’s a closer look at how exactly the reflection works…

Retroreflection

The surface of our garments is composed with wide angle, exposed retroreflective lenses that are bonded with a special polymer layer. In plain terms, microscopic glass spheres, acting like mirrors are glued to our clothes with wash resistant adhesive. These lenses are spherical shaped and bounce light back towards the viewer resulting in the “Reflective Effect” which makes our clothes "glow" when viewed from an angle close to a light source. Some of the most common light sources are for example: camera flashlights, lights at clubs or festivals, vehicle headlights and even street lights.

New, Holographic Gear: Introducing Holographic Jackets

We just introduced two new products, to our shop: the Holographic Jacket and the Holographic Puffer Jacket.

These latest additions to our store include a new batch of our Holographic garments that haven an even more colourful “Reflective Effect. The Holographic Jacket is already sold out but we can definitely recommend you to check out the Holographic Puffer Jacket.

Check out the Holographic Puffer Jacket here.

In the meantime, we’d love to hear what you think. What types of clothes would you like to see from us in the future? Should we use our Reflective or Holographic garments on our new products?
